Jean M. Visconti

She was born November 11, 1953, to John and Ann Stevenson. Jean will be remembered for her selfless dedication to her family and friends, a love of spontaneous road trips, and her incredible strength of spirit.

As a young woman, Jean attended Bethel High School (except on especially nice beach days). After graduating, she studied accounting at Naugatuck Community College and began work at her father’s business, Stevenson’s Imported Car Center. Later in life, Jean put her compassionate nature to use working as a nurse’s assistant at Danbury Hospital.

In 1973 she married her sweetheart, Ted Visconti and started a family. Soon life was a blur of ball games, scouting trips, and family vacations. And Jean loved every chaotic moment of it. An avid photographer, Jean was never without a camera in one hand and a Pepsi in the other. The countless photographs she took documented a legacy of love, adventure, and laughter.

Jean is survived by her husband: Theodore Visconti of Bethel, CT. Her children: Kelly Reed and her husband,Tobey, of Attleboro, MA; Patrick Visconti and his partner, Niki Wheeler, of Victoria, TX; Kathleen Visconti of Bethel, CT. Her grandchildren: Malcolm and Zoe Reed of Attleboro, MA. Her siblings: John Stevenson, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Palm Harbor, FL; and Mary Sullivan and her husband, Mark, of Windsor, CT. Her cousin, Peggy Davis of Bethel, CT. Several beloved nieces and nephews also survive.

Jean was predeceased by her parents, John and Anne Stevenson, and her two brothers, Daniel and James Stevenson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Wednesday, Feb 10, 2016 at St. Mary’s Church, Bethel. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel. Friends will be received from 5pm-8pm on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
