He was born on January 7, 1947 in Danbury. He attended St. Peter’s School and graduated from Danbury High School. He was a hard worker, quadrupling the size of his paper route as a boy. He worked in several grocery stores starting at the age of sixteen. His longest stint was at Finast, formerly on Main Street.
John’s greatest love was music. He had a golden voice singing in the St. Peter’s Boys Choir. He was an amazing soloist and attended practice before school started every morning. As an adult, he sang in the choir at St. Joseph’s Church in Brookfield. He was trained as an excellent cantor. Singing was his joy.
