Jose da Silva Cabral

Jose was born January 10, 1928 in Celorico da Beira, Espinheiro Portugal, the son of the late Jose dos Reis Silva and Felismina de Almeida Cabral. He had been a resident of Danbury since 1960 Jose was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Danbury. He was a member of the Sons of Portugal and the Portuguese Cultural Center, and was an avid fan of the Sporting Club of Portugal Soccer Team.

In addition to his wife Betty of 62 years, Jose is survived by two daughters: Maria Amelia Patricio and her husband Armenio Sr. of Danbury and Maria Teresa Adams and her husband George of Middlebury, four grandchildren: Armenio Patricio Jr. and his wife Jacqueline, Joseph Patricio, Veronica Adams, and G. Benjamin Adams, two great grandchildren: Brianna and Oksana Patricio, one brother: Antonio Cabral of Portugal, as well as several nieces and nephews in both Portugal and Brazil. Jose was predeceased by his son Victor Jacinto Cabral, and five sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Thursday February 28th in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Danbury. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 27th in the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street Danbury from 5 thru 8pm.
