Joseph was born to Anthony and Michelina Caradonna on February 28, 1953 Bronx, NY. He graduated from Columbus High School in Bronx NY in 1973. Joseph and his wife Phyllis were married on August 28, 1977 in Bronx, NY, and with his family moved to Danbury in 1995.
Joseph, known as Joe and JC, worked for Con Edison for 44 years at the Van Nest Yard in Bronx NY and the last 3 years as a Business Agent for the Local 1-2 Union Utility Workers Union of America.
Joe was remembered for being a loving, hardworking, and most considerate person you’d meet. There was not one person that he would not go out of his way for. He would make anyone smile and laugh with his jokes. His hobbies included being outdoors, a true love for cars, smoking cigars, and photography. He was a man of many traits and there was not one thing that Joe wouldn’t be able to fix.
Joe is survived and beloved by his wife, Phyllis of 42 years; daughter Stephanie M. Iovieno and her husband Vincenzo Iovieno; and son Joseph F. Caradonna and his longtime girlfriend Nicole Meyers. Sadly, his brother Frank Caradonna passed away this year.
Joseph was buried with his family present on April 21, 2020 at St. Peter Cemetery in Danbury CT. Due to the beginning of the pandemic funeral arrangements were not able to be held at the time.
Please join the family as they celebrate Joe’s life on Saturday October 16, 2021. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Saint Edward the Confessor Church in New Fairfield at 10:30 AM.
Please leave a message or share a memory of Joe for the family.
