Margery “Nan” (Brosz) Holick Age 87 passed peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 surrounded by family. “Nan” as she was known to everyone, was born in Danbury, May 2, 1931 to the late Geza and Mary (Maile) Brosz.
Nan was a graduate of Danbury High School, class of 1949. She was employed at National Semi Conductor, Hughes and Raytheon.
Nan is predeceased by her parents Geza and Mary Brosz, her sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Robert McCarthy and brother Jack Brosz.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth Holick and daughters Melinda (Mindy) Kelly, Pamela Turosky, Susan Scott and her husband Jerry. Grand children: James and Michael Kelly, Dianne (Kelly) and husband Dave Celini. Nikki (Turosky) and husband Jumaane Smith, Caity (Turosky) and husband Brian Rogers, Kenny Scott and his wife Alissa, Steve Scott and his wife Fernanda, Jenny (Scott) and her husband Mitch Trainor, and Tom Scott. Great grandchildren Liam, Cora, Owen and Mylan Smith, Jaden and Dylan Scott, Ava and Troy Trainor, Danielle Scott. Sister-in-law Ethel Brosz. Brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Eleanor Joudy. Nan also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Nan was a wonderful loving woman. Her family, neighbors and friends meant the world to her. Her happiness in life was making sure everyone around her was loved and happy. She was fortunate to have found the love of her life and was married to Ken for 67 and a half years. Nan always said that she had: “a wonderful life”.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 18th at 11:00 a.m. in the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury. Burial will follow in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
