SEPTEMBER 23, 1935 – JANUARY 27, 2019
Marie T. Malloy, 83, of New Fairfield, CT, formerly of Brewster, NY, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle against Alzheimer’s at her home on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019. She was surrounded by her family. Marie was the wife of the late John (Jack) J. Malloy, who predeceased her by 21 days on Jan. 6, 2019.
Born and raised in New York, New York and the daughter of Irish immigrants Thomas and Mary Kate McDonnell, Marie worked as an accounting clerk and later pursued a career in Real Estate at Fowkes Realty.
Marie loved to travel on cruises and spend time in the Outer Banks, North Carolina Marie’s biggest pastime and hobby though by far was helping to raise her beloved three grandchildren and attend their sporting events.
Marie will be sorely missed by her daughter Geraldine (Gerri) Broderick, her son-in-law Michael, as well as her loving grandchildren Katie, Jack and Shannon Broderick of New Fairfield. She also leaves behind her nieces Liesel Steines and Christina Cowan and their families. Marie is predeceased by her brother Thomas McDonnell who passed away on January 2, 2019
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the lives of Marie and Jack Malloy will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, CT with the Rev. Harry Prieto officiating. Interment will be private.
