Mary R Coniglio

Mary Dawn Roberts Coniglio passed away peacefully July 19, 2011 at her home. She was 88. Born February 15, 1923 in Australia, she immigrated to America as a child growing up in The Bronx, where she met her husband, Frank. Moving to New Fairfield in 1950 she raised eight children and five grandchildren while working full time for Safeway and Finast Supermarkets, retiring after more than 30 years never one to stay idle she worked at The Children’s Center of Danbury for 15 years.

A prolific and passionate reader, Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who demonstrated amazing insight. Mary will be sadly missed by her children Francis (Frank) Coniglio of Palo Alto, California, Carmella (Millie) Johnson and her husband Richard, Joseph Coniglio and his wife Mary, Robert Coniglio and his wife Paula all of New Fairfield, John Coniglio and his wife Beth, of Conklin, NY, Patricia Borges and her husband Luciano of Danbury, Christine Schneider and her companion Daniel Banks, of Warren, Rhode Island. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren who will certainly miss her wisdom, wit and zest for life. Mary now joins her beloved husband Frank, and first born daughter Francette Romaine, in the arms of Our Lord. Rest in peace.
