

Michael J. Cutro, age 91 of Yorktown Heights, NY, formerly of Danbury passed away into eternal rest on August 25th at Hudson Valley Hospital, Cortlandt Manor, NY. He was the husband of the late Dolores G. (Spitale) Cutro.
Michael was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 8, 1930, one of three children born to Tony and Josephine (Mazzo) Cutro. He was raised and educated in Brooklyn, where he met his wife Dolores. They married and together raised two sons, Michael and Ronald.
Michael, along with his son Ron was the owner of Mike’s Polishing Shop in Manhattan, working on the design and polishing of beautiful pieces of jewelry, diamonds and fine gold.
Following his wife Dolores’ death in 2001, Michael met Jean Rief. Together, they travelled, danced, and made many friends. They sang together in group known as the “Sharps and Flats”, entertaining fellow senior citizens. Sadly, Jean passed away on August 13, 2021 due to illness.
Michael is survived by his sons: Ronald Cutro and his wife Kim of Brookfield, and Michael Cutro and his wife Sophia of Venice, FL along with 4 grandchildren: Ronnie, Nicholas, Andrew and Brian Cutro , several step grandchildren, and one niece. Michael was predeceased by his brother Buddy Cutro, sister Rose Cutro, and niece Marin Cutro.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 30th at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury at 11:00am. Burial will be in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 29th from 2pm to 5pm.
