Richard Cizik

Richard (Dick) Cizik Sr., 76 of Danbury, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Danbury Hospital. He was the son of John and Anne Cizik. He is survived by his current wife, Mireya A (Portes) Cizik and his grandchildren Melissa and Victor Cizik of Danbury. He is also survived by daughter Veronica Lynn (Kenneth) Erdmann of Brookfield, son Richard Cizik Jr. of Willimantic and by his brothers Robert Cizik of TX and Donald Cizik of FL and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife Joan Gail Hunter Cizik, and brothers John and Theodore Cizik.

Born in Scranton PA, then moved to Norwalk, Ct where he graduated from Norwalk High School. He went on to serve in the US Navy. He worked for Mosler Corp., Pitney Bowes-Alpex, National Semiconductor and Black and Decker. He enjoyed visiting with friends, bowling, hunting, fishing and repairing cars.

Calling hours are on Thursday, February 19, 5pm – 8pm at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St. Danbury. A blessing will be said at 7 pm. Interment will take place on Friday, February 20, at 11am at Willowbrook Cemetery, 495 Main St., Westport, CT.
