Robert was born in Mount Kisco, NY March 27, 1932, the son of the late Walter and Helen (Sleeper) Osnoe. He was a graduate of Brewster High School, where he met and later married his wife Joyce on June 12, 1955.
Robert was employed as an electronics technician, working for Automation Industries, and also with NDT Technologies/Sperry Products.
Robert had been a New Fairfield resident for 62 years, and it was where he had built his home. In his spare time, he enjoyed hiking, golf, bird watching, gardening, woodworking and carving walking sticks, boating, and spending special times with family.
In addition to his wife Joyce of 67 years, Robert is survived by his four children: Jo-Ann Osnoe and her husband John Ennis of Yardley, PA, Robert Osnoe Jr. and his wife Kathleen of East Haddam, CT, Lori Coco and her husband Robert of Clinton, CT and Gina McGrath and her husband John of Encinitas, CA , his five grandchildren: Susan, Kyle, Logan, Austin, and Trevor, along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his siblings Walter J. Osnoe, Jr., Rita Molella, Gerald Osnoe, and Kathleen Osnoe.
A prayer service for Robert will take place on Tuesday, October 25th in the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury at 6:00pm.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
Interment in the Gerow Cemetery, New Fairfield will be private.
