

Robert G. Sutter Sr. a long time resident of Danbury passed away February 3, 2016 at the Glen Hill Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was 86. Robert was born August 11, 1929 in Ludingtonville, NY the son of the late William and Florence Sutter. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict; he was a crew leader for Kimberly-Clark and was a member of the CT State Police Auxiliary. Robert was a jack of all trades, he enjoyed working on cars, motorcycles and was an avid camper who enjoyed fishing and gardening but his greatest joy was spending time with family. He was a kind and caring man who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his two daughters and their husbands, Doreen Arconti and her husband David, Lynn and Wayne Carlson of Danbury, one brother William Sutter and wife Marian of Lake Carmel, NY and one sister Evelyn Davis of Pawling, NY. He is also survived by six grandchildren Ryan, Kaitlyn and David Arconti Jr., Kristina, Drew and wife Erin and Scott Carlson, six great grandchildren, one great–great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his loving wife Lorraine (Gebert) Sutter, a son Robert G. Sutter Jr. and a daughter Rosemary Sutter.
Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday 10 :00 am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Interment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.
