Born in Brooklyn, NY he met his wife 39 years ago and they moved to New Fairfield in 1990 to raise their family. For all who knew him, Stanley was known for his generosity, animated story-telling and love of live music. His passion for musicians like Jorma and Jerry Garcia was expressed through lifelong friendships sharing recordings, gifting concert tickets and a guaranteed stream of Hot Tuna or the Grateful Dead pouring from the stereo. He was an ardent New York sports fan, following the Yankees, Giants and Rangers as if it was his second job.
He is survived by his beloved wife Jadzia and their two children Matthew and Kristina, her husband Alexander, and Stanley’s three sisters Janet, Lucille and MaryAnn as well as an endless list of family and friends.
The family will receive visitors at Green Funeral Home in Danbury, CT on Friday, October 17 from 5 pm to 9 pm, and the funeral will take place at St. Edward the Confessor, 21 Brush Hill Road, New Fairfield, CT 06812 on Saturday, October 18 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Doctors Without Borders (MSF) 333 7th Avenue, New York, NY. To sign a guestbook and light a candle in remembrance of Stanley, please visit www.thegreenfuneralhome.com.
