Stephen A. Walter

Stephen leaves behind his son Matthew of Danbury, CT, his daughter Kimberly (Walter) Klein of Thornton, CO and his former wife Katherine Walter of Danbury, CT. Steve was proud of his grandchildren Logan Walter, Nicholas Berlingo, Grace Berlingo and Anthony Berlingo.

Stephen was predeceased by his brother Robert Walter of Waterbury, CT. Stephen proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1974. Steve then came to work in Newtown, CT for Hubbell Plastics where he was a machine mechanic while raising his family in Southbury, CT.

He enjoyed wood carving, studying history and took great joy in assisting his son’s Boy Scout Troop as the advancement chairman.

A visitation for Stephen will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT 06810 where funeral service will occur Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 4:30pm at Green Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stephen’s memory to the American Diabetes Association Fund at www.diabetes.org.
