Ginny was born in Danbury, CT, a daughter of the late Michael Koperno and Margaret (Clark) Koperno. She attended St. Peter’s elementary school, and graduated Danbury High School. Ginny was an owner of NAPROCO LLC in Danbury, CT for the last 17 years.
Ginny was an avid fan of racing starting at the Danbury Race Arena back in the day, to Stafford Motor Speedway. Along with other family members, they would sponsor many race car drivers over the years. Her favorite race car driver for many years was TC – Ted Christopher. Along with sponsoring, she decided to create the families own motor sports team, Petty Cash Motorsports, run by her grandson, Tyler. They have had drivers like Tyler Hines, Bryan Narducci, Jimmy Blewett and the last two years, Andrew Molleur, who won the 2024 SK Modified Championship for us! Ginny was at home at the racetrack and everyone knew her. She prayed with the drivers and always wished good luck to every driver even competitors. Even as she got older, she still wanted to be at the track on Friday nights, even if she stayed at her trailer or someone else’s watching on a screen, that’s what made her happy. If she couldn’t make it, she watched on Flo. Ginny was a lover of Jesus. She loved everyone and would give the shirt off her back, even if she didn’t know you. She was a giver of most everything. She would give of her time and resources. That’s just who she was. She loved her family and what we call “The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year”, Christmas. I think it’s no coincidence that God chose to take her now.
Ginny leaves behind her son, Michael Meyhoefer, and his wife, Michele, of Brookfield. Her grandchildren: Elizabeth Bakelaar and husband Joshua of Simpsonville, SC.; Briana Meyhoefer of Danbury; and Tyler Meyhoefer and wife, Emma, of Oakville, CT. Her great grandchildren: Josiah, Scarlett and baby on the way, Everleigh; her beloved brother, Michael Koperno, of Australia and many extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the First Assembly of God Church, Brookfield, CT at 11:00am on Saturday, December 20th, 2025. Friends will be received from 10:00am - 11:00am at the church prior to the service. A light lunch will be served thereafter.
