
Allan was retired from Revenue Canada, where he worked as an auditor for many years. He was an accomplished pianist, he directed many choirs throughout HRM as well as played the organ in various churches. He loved his horse Nellie and his many dogs over the years. Allan lived his entire life in the family home in Eastern Passage providing loving care for his late mother.
He is survived by his sisters, Ruth Ryan and Pearl Davenport as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Phil and Ralph and sister Una Boyd.
As per Allan’s wishes there will be a private family burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the SPCA or any charity that provides care and shelter for animals.
A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of 3 West at the Dartmouth General, as well a thank you to the staff of the Pallidum Restaurant for their caring service while providing meals to Allan over the past year.
