

Bowser (Haugen) - Barbara Blanche - August 8,1934 - July 23,2017 Passed away peacefully Sunday morning, with her family, at her side. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Weldon Bowser Daughter Glenna (Leonard) Sullivan, Son Gordon (Wendy) Bowser Grandsons, Patrick (Anita), Andrew(Amanda), Gregory, Michael Granddaughters, Ashley, Amy. Great Grandchildren, Cassandra, Nathan, Sadie Many Nieces and Nephews. Predeceased by her mother Catherine Haugen Sisters and brothers, Don, Catherine, Edith, James, Ernie, Bert, Carol, Ralph, Miles, Greta, Gordon Barbara worked for many years as a Computer Analysts, with the City of Dartmouth, until her retirement. She was a life time member of Queen Ester Chapter #61, Order of the Eastern Star, where in 1979, she was Worthy Matron. She presided over the Mountains of Friendship, General Grand Chapter session in 1997-1998, as Worthy Grand Matron, for Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. From 1994-1997 she held the appointed position of General Grand Chapter Committee Member on International Temple, Washington DC. She also with honour, was on many other Grand Chapter Committees. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday, July 26, in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Dartmouth. An Eastern Star Service and Funeral will be at 2pm July 27, in Port Wallis United Church, 263 Waverly Road.
