We were so sorry to hear of your tremendous loss, Weldon. We know there is nothing one can say at a time like this to ease your pain, except to say that we are thinking of you and sending loving prayers to you and all your family. We will remember Barbara with great affection as the elegant and classy lady she was.

Barb was like a grandmother to my husband and I and a great gran to our daughter Vivien. She always said we were family even though we went related. We love you Barb with all our hearts. Thank you for giving us such great memories,

My sympathies to you all.  My Mom, Jean  Coombes, and her were great friends and I certainly remember many stories of their times and travels together.  She was very helpful to my Dad, Reg, after Mom's passing and I know he appreciated it very much.  Again, sincere sympathies to you all.

I met "Aunt Barb" many years ago at the funeral of my father, her brother, Don Eldershaw. I was only 7 and I've never forgotten her. She gave me some candy and it's the one thing I remember from that time. It made me think that funerals weren't that bad after all at least from my perspective as a kid.

I have so many fond memories of Barb, but my favourite was at Glenna's wedding, where she told me I couldn't be a Haugen if I couldn't dance. She then proceeded to teach me how to polka. Not a bad skill for a 15 year-old to learn, I suppose. :-) I didn't get to visit often, but I will miss her a lot! My deepest condolences to the whole family.
