Blain Arthur Holland

Blain Arthur Holland, age 52 of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, passed away on August 24th, 2023, at the VG Hospital. Born in Amherst, he embraced life with a spirited dedication to his community and passions. Blain was a dedicated father, grand-father, brother and son.

Blain made great company and could always lighten the mood with his friendly, caring demeanor. He found purpose in supporting the Aids Coalition, CNIB and CMHA, embodying his belief in collective well-being. He reveled in game nights and sun-soaked days on Amherst Shore with family. His grandson Payton held a special place in his heart, bonding over hockey and wrestling.

Blain's daughters, Taryn and Jackie, were his pride and joy. He is survived by his stepson Gionta Kelly, mother Nadine Brooks, step-father Brian Brooks, brothers Joel and Evan Brooks, who all completed his circle of love. He will be missed by his biological father, Terry Holland, his partner Tanya Nickerson, and many more friends and extended family members. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Aids Coalition of Halifax are welcomed, honoring Blain's caring spirit.
