Dear Kim, Ariel, Blaine Jr. and family, Blaine and I go way back from the Marriott hotel kitchen. I am shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic event. Blaine and I worked together 15-20 years, me on the hotline, him in cold banquets. Although sometimes we would be at odds about how to cook something, we were always there for each other as colleagues and friends. I know how painful this is for all of you, it makes me shake my head to think of what happened; a life cut too short. My son and I lost the love of our lives (Sandra LeBlanc) last September; it blindsided is. To think, at times, how I was unprepared to face what happened with my wife of 63 years old. Nonetheless, Blaine and Sandra are probably having a good laugh together and we must stay positive for the future as they have with God. We send all of our prayers to you and Blaine; be strong and as Blaine would said: unbelievable. All God’s love

A group of us would always gather at Ariel's for breakfast and coffee. Parker was a Raptors fan and we enjoyed his Raptors banter as we watched the sports show clips from the previous night's game. Great guy to know who made everyone feel at home. He will be missed by all his regular customers.
