Personal Life:
Brian loved spectating sports, especially hockey and would attend Tampa Bay Lighting games while they were in Florida in the winter months. He was especially fond of his trips with his brother Robert where they would take in multiple sporting events and have a blast. Not only did Brian love watching sports but also played hockey during his time with Doane Raymond and played tennis at St. George’s Lawn Tennis Club since they moved to Dartmouth in 1983. Brian also volunteered his time to the club in various ways.
Brian and Marilyn spent their winters at their condo in Siesta Key, Florida, where they enjoyed long walks on Siesta Key Beach, playing tennis and dinners out with friends.
He adored his family and supported his children and grandchildren in whatever they did. He was so happy just having his family around him during birthdays, holidays and other occasions.
Brian would strike up a conversation with anyone and leave that person feeling like they mattered. His positivity, humour and giving nature was inspiring.
He had the biggest heart of anyone. He would do anything for anyone but especially for his family. If you needed him, he would get on a plane and fly across the country on a moment’s notice to be with you. His kindness made him larger than life.
