Carolyn Sharon Ewing

Ewing, Carolyn Sharon - age 63, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Carolyn was born on February 12, 1954 in Halifax, Nova Scotia to Roy and Evelyn (Collins) Evans. She is survived by her husband of 38 years Paul Michael (Mike) Ewing; her daughters Janna Cacao Ewing (Gabriel Cacao Morales) and Alyssa of Halifax; Granddaughters, Kayla Thistle, Myah Cacao Ewing and Ava Cacao Ewing. Carolyn was predeceased by her son Paul-Michael Christopher (Chris). Carolyn was extremely involved in the lives of her grandchildren, spending much of her time driving between their school and the rink or pool, ensuring that neither child missed any of their practices. She loved watching Myah competing in her figure skating competitions and watching Ava practice for her swim meets. Carolyn’s grandchildren were her world. Cremation has taken place and a small memorial and interment will take place in late spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nursing staff on the 6th floor of the Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building for the remarkable care they provided Carolyn.
