

Jacquemin, Colette C. – 81, of Lake Echo. It is with a very sad heavy heart and great sorrow that we the family announce the passing of Colette on November 9, 2015 in the Dartmouth General Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Beauraing, Belgium she was the daughter of the late Aime and Marie Therese (Gillard) Gustin. She married Yvan Jacquemin on July 18, 1953 in Jemelle, Belgium. Emmigrated to Canada in 1956 and has lived in Lake Echo since 1960. She dedicated her life to her husband and her children. Colette was an elegant woman. She was very feminine and very proud. Colette was an avid gardener, homemaker and her flowers were admired by all. She was loved by all who knew her. She was gracious and welcoming to everyone who came to her home. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Yvan, son Philippe, daughter Cora and daughter in-law Valerie, her grandson Barrett, great grandchildren Zoey, Hunter and Haley, three sisters, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place from 4 – 7 pm on Thursday, November 12, 2015 in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, November 14, at 11 am in St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Lake Echo. Burial will take place in St. Anslem’s Cemetery, West Chezzetcook. Loving gardening as she did, flowers are welcome and preferred over donations.
