MORRISEY, Daniel “Danny” Wayne – 73, of Westphal. November 11, 1948 – May 30, 2022. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving father after a long battle with cancer. Dad died peacefully, at home on May 30th 2022, with his loving family at his bedside. Danny, born in Dartmouth, was the first child of the late Mildred (Dee) Charlotte (Ivany) and Donald (Donnie) Kenneth Morrisey. He was predeceased only 5 short months by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Margaret (Donna) Lee (McMaster), his parents, sister, Penny Farrell and infant grandson Cameron. Danny is survived by and will be dearly missed by his daughters Karla and Lisa, son Dwayne (Tasha), grandchildren; Hailey, Liam, Daniel, Brady & Caedon, Hunter & Kristina, Ethan, Maddy & Brayden, great grandchildren; Zayden, Greyson, Amira and Kyrah. Danny is also survived by his brothers Ralph (Barb), Robin (Gail), Steven, sisters Linda Boudreau (Gregg), Leanne McConnell (Jamie). Danny worked most of his life as a welder/steel cutter. He retired from the Department of National Defense after 30years of service. Danny enjoyed many years at Camp Quoddy. He loved camping, fishing, and all that outdoor life brought. In his early years he spent a great deal of time working with his hands, creating beautiful pieces and wood working many of Donna’s ideas into projects. Just like Donna, Danny enjoyed spending most of his time with family. He was extremely proud of his children and all they accomplished. His grandchildren and great grandchildren brought him an immense amount of joy. You could see him beaming with pride as he sat at watched them. Danny will be remembered for his sharp wit, love and toughness beyond measure. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
