

Stiner (Young) Deborah Ann-65 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully with her family at her side on November 3, 2013 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax on January 30, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Ruby and Basil Young. Debbie worked for the Provincial Government for 35 years and the Holiday Inn for 25 years. Debbie’s greatest joy was watching her son at the ball field and the rink. She is survived by her beloved son, Mark; sisters, Joslyn (Jamie) and Patricia; her former husband, Michael Stiner; caring sisters-in-law as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Michael and her dear son Darryl.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff on the third floor, particularly Dr. Burke for their kindness and dedication to Debbie’s care.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday November 7, from 5-8pm in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Funeral service will be 10am Friday November 8, from St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 10 Maple Street Dartmouth. Reception to follow. Interment to follow in Musquodoboit Harbour. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association or a charity of choice.
