Donald Victor Goodridge

Of Dartmouth, passed peacefully on August 2, 2016 at the age of 76, in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Shelby (Helpard) Goodridge, parents Ida and Victor Goodridge, brother Fred Goodridge and sister Beverly Stitt. Survived by children Sharon (Marcel Capp) Redden, Michael Goodridge, Sandi (Bobby) Weagle, Donny (Michelle) Goodridge, Trish (Kim) Goodridge, Mary Ellen (Peter) Benson, Sheila (Derry) Jesso; grandchildren Beverly, Rebecca, Courtney, Brenden, Loghan, Mikaela Rose; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Don was a Leading Seaman in the Canadian Navy from 1960-1978, he was on the Dartmouth Community Health Board, the Dartmouth Boys and Girls Club Board and was a founding member of the ABC Housing Co-Op. Don was known for his woodworking, love of camping and fishing and his dry sense of humour. Family would like to thank Dr. David Sanders for his kindness. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8th from 6-8pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St, Dartmouth. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 9th at 11am in A. L.
