Dorothy Margaret Hounsell

Hounsell, Dorothy Margaret – 84 of Eastern Passage, passed away peacefully July 4, 2011 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in River Hebert, she was the daughter of the late Linton and Dorothina (MacKenzie) Miller. She enjoyed eating lobster, going for walks on the beach, traveling especially Newfoundland, going for a row in the dory. She enjoyed going to the The Lieutenant Govenor’s Garden party and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are daughters Mary (Loman) Ayer, Shelburne; Eleanor (James) Crozier Pettawawa ON; sons Johnny (Wendy) Miller, River Hebert; Thomas (Marilyn), David (Darlene), Wayne (Rose), Melvin (Darlene), Garnett all of Dartmouth; Edgar ( Ron ), Halifax; Alexander “Sandy”, Calgary; Walter “Max” (Racquel), Kingston, ON; sister Kathleen Therrio, Eastern Passage; brothers Bob (Larraine), Dartmouth; Walter (Nita), Eastern Passage; Brad (Carolyn), Montreal; 24 grandchildren, 6 great grand children. She was predeceased by her husband Llewellyn “Lew”, son George, sisters Annie, Cora, brothers Charlie, John, Fred. Visiting Thursday 2-4 7-9pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Portland St. Dartmouth. Funeral Service 2pm Friday in St. Peter’s Anglican Church Eastern Passage, Rev. John Ferguson officiating, burial to follow in St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery.
