Earl Joseph Behan

Behan, Earl Joseph, 67 of Dartmouth, passed away January 1, 2013, at home. Born in Tufts Cove he was a son of the late Roy and Annie ( Brown) Behan. He retired in March 2012 from the city of Dartmouth and HRM as a Construction Inspector after 35 years. He loved to spend time with his family, particularly summer vacations and day trips. Surviving are his wife of 36 years the former Mary Hilton, son Adam (Jessica), daughters Belinda (Dave)Batten, and Megan; brother Reg , sisters Joan Felix, and Marguerite McKenzie, grandchildren Jessica and Bryce Batten, Abigail Behan. He was predeceased by sister, Rhoda Chapman, and brother Ralph. Visiting will be held today, January 3rd from 7-9pm and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Funeral Mass will be held 11am Saturday in St. Anthony’s Church 26 Courtney Rd. , Father Irek Bem officiating. Burial to follow in Mount Hermon Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
