McCarthy, Eleanor A. – 83 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on October 24, 2015 in the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre Waterville, NS. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Helen (Marshall) Bailey. Born in Dartmouth, she attended Dartmouth High School, Dalhousie University, obtaining her Bachelor of Arts. She was active in sports and was a member of St. George’s Tennis Club, Banook Canoe Club, Dartmouth Curling Club and Brightwood Golf Club. She is survived by her husband Ken, son David, daughter Brenda (Barry) Wolfe. Grandchildren Jennifer, Nicholas, Jamie, Luke and Emma. Brother Bill (Sue) Bailey, Toronto, Joan (Kent) Martin, Vernon, BC. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 1 – 4 pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Private family burial at a later date. Family flowers only, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
