Elsie Josephine Hill

Hill, Elsie Josephine 78 Dartmouth/Northport. It is with great sadness that the family of Elsie Josephine Hill announce her passing on Friday June 1st, 2012 in the Halifax Infirmary. Growing up in Port Medway, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Annie (Conrad) Anderson. She was the wife of her true love, the late George Dixon Hill, from Springhill. She was retired from her position as personal and payroll manager at the Nova Scotia Hospital. She enjoyed most of her retirement years with “Didge” at their cottage in Northport, NS and as “Snowbirds” at their residence in Tampa, Florida. They were long-time volunteers and spent many hours organizing and performing in music festivals. She enjoyed singing in the church choir at Lorneville United Church, playing her guitar and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her children Leslie Hill, Halifax and Blaine Hill Coldbrook; her grandchildren Katia Callegari, Ryan Hill (Jessica), Kenny Hill (Stella) and Ray Hill; brothers Gary (Donna) Anderson, Ernest (Kaye) Anderson; sisters in law Lillian Anderson, Aggie Anderson. Elsie was predeceased by husband George and brothers Raymond Anderson, Victor Anderson and Vernon Anderson. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11am on Saturday June 9, 2012 in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St. Dartmouth, Rev.
