Richards, Eva Lilla - With heavy hearts we announce the passing at home of our wife, mother and grandmother on March 23, 2016, at age 79. Eva was the daughter of the late Henry and Harriet MacDonald, born on August 22, 1936, in Priestville, Nova Scotia. She was also predeceased by her sisters Vera, Nora and Thelma. Surviving Eva are her loving husband of 56 years, Lawrence, who was with her when she went to her eternal home, daughter Cheryl (Brad) Smith, granddaughters; Alena and Megan Smith all of Dartmouth; sister Vivian (Fred) Wright, Dartmouth and brothers; Ronald (Lois) MacDonald, Ontario, and Kenneth (Shirley) MacDonald, New Glasgow, and numerous nieces and nephews. Eva was kind and gentle. Family meant everything to her, and in particular her granddaughters were a great joy in her life. A funeral service will be held at A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Portland Street, Dartmouth, on Monday, March 28, 2016, 11 a.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
