Florence Rebecca Sparks

Sparks (Ross) Florence Rebecca, age 82, Lake Loon Road passed away peacefully November 21, 2013 at Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Cherry Brook, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey Ross and Rita Mae (Fairfax) (Ross) Beals. Florence leaves behind a loving family and a wide range of friends. She was well respected by many, and a second mother to most.

She was a member of the Cherry Brook United Baptist Church. She is survived by her children Stephen (Beth), Valerie, Paul (Glenda), Angela, Ernestine Johnson (Gordon), Kathy, Frances Riley (Thomas), Wanda Patterson (Barry), Tanya (Shawn), Ward, and Lanata Oba (Charles); sisters, Joan Ross, Maxine Madden, and Mona Beals, as well as many grand, great, and great-great-grandchildren, and a godchild, Elaine Sparks. Florence was predeceased by husband Stanley, daughter Annette Mahe; brothers, Rev. D.E. Fairfax, Hilton, Freeman, and Aubrey Ross, and grandchildren, Adonis, Dwight, Brittany, and great-grandson, Baby Dwight, and “son” Jules Bennett. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at AL Mattatall funeral Home, 217 Portland St., Dartmouth. Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Thursday at Cherry Brook United Baptist Church, Rev.
