HOLDEN, Garth MacGowan – 84, of Dartmouth. The family announce his peaceful passing at Hospice Halifax on September 16th 2021. Born in Jordan Falls, October 31, 1936. He was the son of the late Harley C. and Bertha Jean (Bower) Holden. He spent his working life at Stelco in Hamilton, Ontario. Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 60 years, Janet; son, Craig (Elsa); daughter, Dianne; grandchildren Garth, Kelsey and Elizabeth; brother, Albert; sister, Vivian; brothers in-law, Bert, Tom, Don, John and Ralph. He was predeceased by his sisters, Joan, Patricia, Connie and Audrey; brothers, Murray and Harley; brother in-law, Charlie. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
