Born in Sheet Harbour, he was the eldest son of the late Ralph and Edith Lowe.
Gordon retired in 1995 after working for more than 20 years as a carpenter for the Dartmouth School Board.
Gordon’s love of driving took him and Claudette on many adventures. It could be to New Brunswick for a coffee or in their motorhome wherever it took them, as long as he was at the wheel. That’s where he loved being the best.
Gordon is survived by his wife Claudette, daughter Marlene Lowe, son Keith Lowe, stepdaughters Cindy (Jim) Swinehammer and Chris Benson, brother Ron Lowe, sister Sheridan (Lestie) Lowe, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his daughters Shirleen Lowe, Sandra (Whebby) Lowe, brother Weldon Lowe, and sister Joan (Morash) Lowe.
A private family graveside service will take place at Mount Hermon Cemetery.
A special thanks to the staff of the Oceanview Manor (Bayside) for their care and compassion over the past months.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your charity of choice.
Happy motoring, Gordon.
