Harvey Wallace Thomas

Thomas, Harvey Wallace- 88, of Cole Harbour, passed away January 22, 2011 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in North Middleboro, he was the son of the late John and Fannie (O’Brien) Thomas. He is survived by sons Robert (Shelley), Lawrencetown; Mel (Kimberly), Dartmouth; Gary (Carrie), Martinsville, Sk.; brother Kenneth (Marian), Eastern Passage; grandchildren Tyler, Stephen, Melanie, Hanna, Haiven, Laikyn, Michael, Lora; great-grandchild Devon; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Jessie and his brother Sherman. Harvey will always be remembered by all hockey fans over the years in Cole Harbour. He worked and retired after 25 years service at the Halifax County Rehab Center and was always proud of the union membership. Visitation will be held Monday, January 24 from 6-8 pm and Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St., Dartmouth. Funeral service will be held 10am on Wednesday, January 26 at Regal Road Baptist Church, Rev. Bryan Hagerman officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Wallace. Family flowers only.
