Hewitt "Hew" Arthur Stinson

STINSON, Hewitt Arthur “Hew” – Age 83 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home Christmas morning, December 25, 2018. He was the eldest son of the late Oliver and Pansy (Curry) Stinson. Hew left home at 17 to join the Canadian Navy, upon his retirement from the service he was employed with Royal Trust Real Estate for a number of years and then on to the Corp of Commissionaires where he retired. He is survived by his brother Ford (Jeanette), sister in-law Shirley Emberly, niece Karen Emberly, great niece Amanda Bellestaros Emberly, and Daniel Deschaines, nephews Gordon, Greg and Scott Daniel of Port Hope, Ontario and his best friend his dog Darcey. He is predeceased by his wife Ruth (Emberly), daughter Susan and son in-law David Briggs, sister Alice and Ken Daniel, Port Hope, Ontario, brother in-law Ralph Emberly, and niece Heather Ann Deschaines, (Stinson). By request no visitation or service, cremation has taken place under the direction of A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home with interment at a later date.
