Irene Mildred (Vincent) Weagle

Age 95, of Dartmouth, passed away October 9, 2019 in Dartmouth General Hospital. She was the eldest daughter of the late Clyde and Myrtle (Conrad) Vincent. She was predeceased by Vernon, her beloved husband of 59 years; sister, Helen (Bert) Hull; brothers, William “Bill”, Melvin “Bus” and Chester “Gump” Vincent. Also predeceased by sisters-in-law, Elsie (Carl) Duncan, Idella (Eric) Abbott and Dorothy (Frank) Everill. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. After the passing of her husband, Irene moved to Royal Oak Estates in Dartmouth where she made many good friends. She especially enjoyed the card games, many social activities, including visits to and from other tenants which always included tea or coffee and some of Irene’s baked goods which she enjoyed preparing. Special thanks are extended to Wayne and Elizabeth Duncan and Fran Hull for their kindness. Thanks to Dr. B. Izzard for his compassion and care to Irene and her late husband; to the staff of the Dartmouth General Hospital, fourth floor east, to Rev. Fred Snyder, to pharmacist Jackie Funder and to friends including Inga, Vivian, Barb and Roy, Larry and many others. Irene’s wishes are to be cremated, with no visitation. A reception will be held on Tuesday, October 15th from 1:30pm – 3:30pm in A L Mattatall Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mount Hermon cemetery with Rev. Fred Snyder officiating. Family flowers only, donation to a charity of choice.
