

Holt, John William – 68 of Eastern Passage, died peacefully on November 28, 2015 in the QE II surrounded by his loving partner Margaret Carter, his son Michael and Margaret’s daughter Trish Giles. Born in Minto, NB. He was the son of the late Thomas and Grace (Murray) Holt. John spent his working years in many places around the world including PEI where he helped complete the Confederation Bridge. He was a past member of the Lion Club and Royal Canadian Legion. As a young man he was involved in the Eastern Shore Minor Hockey Association as President and Coach. John loved bluegrass and country music and could be found at many of the Maritime Music Festivals. He also loved motorcycles and touring the back roads with his son Mike and friends. He is survived by his loving partner Margaret, sons; Roderick (Christina) and Michael (Darcy), grandchildren; Taylor, Thomas, Jaret and Maddison, brother; Douglas (Rose), sisters; Carol Jacobs and Ruth McAllister, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by step father; Andrew, wife; Cavell, brothers; Gerald, Donald, David and Byron. A Celebration of John’s life will be held 2pm on Saturday December 5, 2015 in A. L.
