She was predeceased by her son Michael, sister Patricia McDow, niece Nicole McDow, and grandson Justin Laverie.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Derek; her sisters, Wanda ((Nee McDow) Harold Butler) and Betty-Ann McDow; daughters, Tammy McDow (Mike Hickey) and Amanda Power (James Brown), and grandson Corey Laverie.
Karen greatly enjoyed long drives, old time country music, and spending time at the camp in West Chezzetcook, where she grew up.
No arrangements have been made at this time. Interment will be at Saint Anselm's Cemetery in West Chezzetcook at a later date.
