Keith Alexander Baxter

Baxter, Keith Alexander, 75, of Dartmouth, passed away March 18, 2012 at Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late Alexander and Ruth (Franklin) Baxter. He was the Past President of the NS Mineral and Gem Society and a devoted member of the Stevens Road UBC for 50 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joyce (Carmichael); sons, Brian (Susan) St. Catharine’s, ON; Brent (Judy) Dartmouth; and a daughter Gail (Christopher) Schrader of Dartmouth; sisters Margaret (Charles) Levy, Windsor and Lynn MacFarlane, AB; six grand-children, Christy, Kenneth, Elizabeth, Caleigh, Alexander, and Ashleigh, several nieces and nephews. Keith is predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Eleanor. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012, 2-4 and 7-9 with a Memorial Service to be held Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 2pm both in Stevens Road United Baptist Church. Rev. Shirley DeMerchant officiating. Interment at a later date in Margaree Valley Baptist Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the IWK Foundation.
