Liptrot, Kim Marie-56, of Dartmouth passed away surrounded by her family at the Dartmouth General Hospital on March 22, 2014. Kim grew up in Halifax and was a daughter of the late Laurier and Ellen Dort.
She enjoyed knitting and tole painting, but Kim’s greatest love was her family. She cherished the time she spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Kim is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Jaime and Sarah; son, Taylor; brothers, Tony Murphy, Terry George and Edgar Dort; grandchildren, Nichole, Kaydence, Kylee, Hayden and Shamus; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald.
Visitation will take place on Friday March 28, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
