Cole, Lawrence ‘Larry’ James, 54, of Halifax passed away suddenly at home May 23, 2014. Born in London, Ontario he was a son of the late William Roy and Joan Gwendlyn Cole. Larry was an avid volunteer throughout the years with CNIB, a cause which he held very close to his heart. He was a musician at heart, who loved playing his guitars with friends and family . Larry was a credited photo journalist throughout his younger years. He loved to help anyone in need, and was only ever a phone call away for his many students he had befriended over the past several months. Surviving are sister, Diana Cole (Dave), St. Johns NL, brother Tim, Mount Uniacke, nieces, Terri (Josh Curwin), Porters Lake, Toni Cole, St. Johns, Julie Cole, nephew Timmy Cole ,Lower Sackville, great niece and nephew Abbigale and Austin. He was predeceased by brother Butch. A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday May 31, 2014 in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Burial at a later date in St. Johns.
