

Born to the late Blois and Minerva (Marsman) Williams, Madeline was predeceased by her brothers, Lloyd and Gordon, and her sister, Leona Allison Williams. She is survived by her brother, Wayne Williams.
Madeline was also predeceased by her first husband, Aldege Fradette of Quebec, and her second husband, Donald Lane of Toronto.
She leaves to cherish her memory her six children: Cleveland Williams (Dartmouth); Fabian Williams and Lorna (East Preston); Quintin Williams and Sherry (Toronto); Tanya Williams Fradette and Jean-Guy (Montreal); Tamara Fradette (Halifax); and Serge Fradette (Dartmouth).-Madeline was a proud and loving grandmother to eight grandchildren:
Kevin Fradette, Carleen Farmer, Levar Williams, Jeremy Williams, Makayla Williams, Kadeem Williams, Quintaya Williams, and Olivia Fradette. She was also blessed with 12 great-grandchildren, 2 godchildren, and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Madeline dedicated 20 years of service to I.M.P. Aerospace Ltd., where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment to learning.
She continuously sought to expand her knowledge by taking various computer courses. In later years, she worked as a school crossing guard for HRM, where she took great joy in helping children and their families and was always ready for a friendly conversation.
For the past 10 years, Madeline was a devoted member of Keys of the Kingdom Ministry. She was a passionate advocate for Black history and found great joy in travelling with family and friends, sharing her faith and ministering God's love. She deeply enjoyed praise, worship, and fellowship with her church community and loved ones.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Reverend Lloyd Grant. Arrangements have been entrusted to the funeral home.
