Marg was known to some as Bobbie and to most as Maggie which was associated with fingers as she had to have them into everything.
Maggie started her career in nursing in Cape Breton and after moving to Nova Scotia she spent 25 plus years at Sears Canada before finally retiring. Maggie loved doing her crafts, knitting and cross stitch and her trips to Dollar Lake with Dano. Later she decided to buy a trailer of her own and enjoyed spending time at the Rawdon Gold Mines Campground where she grew a sharp tongue reputation, and her spicy attitude will be missed.
Marg is survived by her son Dave (Jen), daughters Tracey (John) and Francine (Greg) Grandchildren, Johnathon (Patricia), Jessica (Nicolas) Makayla (Matthew), and Robyn (Adam) and Great-grandchildren Clara, Henry, Billie and Sophie. She was predeceased by her lifetime partner Daniel O’Leary, brother John and parents Robert and Mary Margaret.
Please join us at 2 PM October 14, 2026 for a celebration of life at Mattatall’s Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street Dartmouth NS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope for Wildlife or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
