Mike was small of stature, but was a giant of the canoeing community in Dartmouth. Known for his legendary courage, he was an inspiration to me and all of my family. He will be remembered well by us forever.

I met Michael through his sister Denise and her family. Michael came to all of his niece Autumn's basketball games and my daughter played on the team. He was a very kind man. You could tell he loved his family so much. He always had a smile and was a big supporter of all the kids. So sorry to hear of his passing. I know that he is somewhere still cheering everyone on.

Very sad to learn of Mike's passing. He was a great crew mate and a good friend in our paddling days and since.
My sympathies to the entire Gray family. I know that you all have lost a wonderful Grandfather, Father, Brother and Uncle.

To All The Gray Family:
So sorry to hear of Michael's passing. My wife and i first met Michael back in the 80's and at that time he was working in the Plumbing & Heating business. He was always a very pleasant and cordial person to be around. We hadn't seen much of him since our leaving Cole Harbor and moving to the Annapolis Valley nine years ago.
Our heartfelt sympathy to all the family.

Ken and Loretta Jollymore

30 January 2019

Michael and Loretta were lifelong friends born just a month apart; Ken met him many years later through Loretta, though he had connections with other Gray family members. Both would like to acknowledge that though Michael came to have a weak heart to them he had the BIGGEST heart. There are few people who can lay claim to the capacity of caring for others that Michael displayed on a daily basis. The world could use many, many more Mike Grays. We wish for all his Family that they feel the peace that Michael radiated where-ever and when-ever he was around.
