66, passed peacefully after a long battle with cancer on his 46th wedding anniversary, October 9, 2017 in the QEII, VG site. Survived by wife, Helen; sons, Daniel (Daniela) and Marcel (Stacey); grandson, Cooper; siblings, Micheline, Jacques, Richard, Jean-Yves, Gilles and Marcel. Mike spent 30 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force, after retirement he worked with the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires for 17 years. He was a dedicated husband and role model to both his children. He was an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan, Pink Floyd listener and he enjoyed time with his friend Claude on the golf course. Special thank you to niece Robyn and friends Claude and Paula for all their help through this difficult time, and to the palliative care unit staff of the QEII, VG site for their care and compassion. Arrangements are under the care of A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. In accordance with Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
