Her children will forever cherish the many adventures and travels taken as a family together, even travelling all together throughout her children's adult years, to visit family throughout Canada, with adventures to Colorado, California, Florida, Nevada, Maryland, New Mexico, Bermuda, Spain and one of her favorites, peaceful and beautiful Hawaii where she experienced “Ohana”, four times. Family was most important to Mollie, and she always made sure her children knew their extended family throughout several generations. It was the Brule Shores she loved the most and she retold many childhood memories of skating on the river, swimming in the ocean, dealing with childhood ‘bullies’, and visiting her beloved grandparents Marshall & Barbara Millard, and Lemual & Francis Tattrie. Most recently, her travels to Brule Point to the family “cottage” hold forever memories where she was fortunate to reconnect with relatives, family friends, and make wonderful new friends at Strait Seasonal where she enjoyed listening to the weekend music and teased her nephew John about bringing in more fiddle music.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Dartmouth.
At Mollie’s request there will be no visitation or service at this time. A separate internment for family and friends will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Wildlife Federation, the Debert Fire Brigade, or the Tatamagouche Volunteer Fire Department Fund.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the services of NS Community Health, Palliative Care Unit, VON and Bayshore Health Care workers, especially Nikita, for their dedicated in-home services during the past few months.
