Muriel H. Nelson

Nelson, Muriel Helen – 92, of Dartmouth, passed away on November 6, 2011 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Port Greville, Nova Scotia, Muriel was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Gwendolyn (Kerr) Cochrane. In 1940, she married Leonard Nelson of Truro. Muriel is survived by her daughters, Gwen (Robert) Haliburton and Judith (Thomas) Sutherland; her adult grandchildren Michael, Gordon, Susan and Timothy. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert and her twin sister, Merle Evans. Special thanks to Margaret Mc Duff, Dr. Lorna Carter, Dr. Wallace T’ien and the dedicated and caring staff on the 3rd floor of the Dartmouth General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 2 PM in Grace United Church, corner of Ochterloney and King Streets, Dartmouth. Mr. Kevin Cox officiating. Reception to follow.
