Pamela Violet Taylor

It is with great sadness that we announce that Pamela (MacGibbon) Taylor age 77, Dartmouth, Passed away on December 12, 2024 at the Dartmouth General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Sydney, but lived most of her life in Dartmouth, NS.

Pamela was predeceased by her parents John MacGibbon and Marjorie (MacGibbon) Ball and step father Maxwell Ball.

She was a graduate of Dalhousie University and had a long career as a social worker at the Nova Scotia Hospital. Following retirement, Pamela enjoyed travelling and exchanging her Florida timeshare to explore new places. She was an avid cross stitcher and displayed her art in her home.

She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dartmouth.

She is survived by her son Adam (Michelle Talbot), Dartmouth, five grandchildren (Jaden, Jenah, Cameron, Caitlin, Christopher) of Halifax and many cousins.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Pamela’s care team at the Dartmouth General Hospital for their compassionate care during her lengthy stay.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Portland Street Dartmouth. There will be a family and close visitation at 1pm on January 4th. Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Latter-day Saints, 46 Cumberland Drive, Dartmouth on January 4th at 2pm with interment in Hardwood Hill cemetery in Sydney at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society of NS or a charity of choice.
