Age 76, Dartmouth, NS, beloved Wife, Mother and Nana, passed away suddenly at the Queen Elizabeth II hospital, Halifax Infirmary Site in Halifax, NS on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Born in Moncton, NB on September 28, 1942, she was the daughter of CN Rail Engineer James Richard and Comm Cen Operator Harriet May (nee Matthews) of Halifax, NS. A proud Maritimer, Patricia lovingly and fiercely raised her family as successful Homemaker, accomplished baker, beautiful craft maker, and awesome eye-spy player.
A Girl Guides of Canada member for life, “Cookie”, dried the socks and the tears of campers everywhere for many years. A volunteer with the NB Heart and Stroke foundation for 10 years, Patricia also enjoyed dancing, music, roller skating, swimming, cruising the seas and the odd casino trip.
Patricia will be deeply missed by her husband, partner, and best friend for over 50 years, Paul William Murray. Besides her husband, Patricia is survived by: Daughter Colleen Mersereau (Troy) of Blackville, NB; and Son Michael Murray (Michelle) of Halifax, NS; Granddaughters Kaelyn Medford (Martin), Lauren Murray, Erin Murray, Michala Mersereau (Joshua), Gracie, Max, and Brixton.
Besides her parents, Patricia is predeceased by her brother James Richard Daine Jr.
In keeping with Patricia's wishes, no funeral service will be held, but rather a celebration of life at a later date. If desired, donations in Patricia's memory may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
