Of Dartmouth Nova Scotia passed away suddenly on April 29, 2021. Born in Reserve Mines Cape Breton she was the daughter of Peggy and Alexander MacDonald. She spent half her life in Cape Breton and the other half in Dartmouth.
In her early years she was a member of many clubs and enjoyed bowling and assisting at Hawthorn School. Later was the ladies groups with the Shriners and the Masonic Lodge. She travelled quite a bit, but always couldn't wait to get home for a good cup of tea. She had a love of most animals and fed many strays over the years. Cats always seemed to land on her step and she was sure they were all hungry.
She loved Celtic music and Newfoundland jiggs. She could be found enjoying the Newfie 30 and Rita MacNeil every Sunday morning. Sometimes singing along while ironing.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bruce, son Blain (Brenda) and daughter Tanya(Chuck). She adored her grandaughter Taylar whom she used to tease whenever she got the chance. She was predeceased by her parents Peggy and Alexander and more recently by her brother Cyril MacDonald.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any animal rescue. She would have liked that.
