Patrick Michael Madden

Born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, Patrick was the son of the late Patrick and Gisella (Kispal) Madden.

Patrick is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol (Gilroy) Madden; his cherished children, Colin Madden of Oromocto, NB, Craig Madden of Halifax, and Erin (Don) Crowell of Bridgewater; and his much-loved grandson, Kaeden Crowell, who was the pride and joy of his life. His brothers, Stephen (Trickie) Madden of New Waterford and Francis "Frank" (Patricia) Madden of Halifax; his mother-in-law, Nellie Gilroy of Leamington, Cumberland County; his sisters-in-law, Barbara (Greg) Chauvin of Hatchet Lake, Marilyn (late Ronnie) Webb of Truro, and Jeanette (David Miller) of Halifax, and his niece, three nephews, and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Patrick retired after a 37-year career as an auditor with the Canada Revenue Agency. In his retirement, he enjoyed playing hockey, baseball, and golf. He and Carol spent their days walking together and visiting local coffee shops. He especially treasured planning weekend activities for him and his grandson Kaeden during his visits.

In accordance with Patrick’s wishes, he has been cremated. There will be no formal service; a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
